Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue recently received a $5000 grant from the ASPCA. The grant will be used for help pay for spay and neuter procedures for the rescued kittens. Each year Tiny Paws rescues approximately 200 neonatal kittens (bottle feeding) kittens that would not survive without human intervention. Tiny Paws was founded as a non-profit organization in 2004 to provide all food, housing and medical care for the kittens until they are ready for adoption. Monetary resources come from adoption fees, generous donations and grants such as this one from the ASPCA.

The ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), founded in 1866, was the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. It’s mission, as stated by founder Henry Bergh, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.” The ASPCA works to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with shelters nationwide.

All the kittens and volunteers at Tiny Paws would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the ASPCA.

Tiny Paws is a non-profit organization (501c3) that rescues orphaned neonatal kittens (who require bottle-feeding). As the kittens grow, we vaccinate them, test for feline leukemia and feline aids, administer de-wormer and apply flea/tick preventative. Every kitten is spayed or neutered before placing them up for adoption. In 2008 we found homes for 220 kittens.

We always welcome volunteers to help feed the babies and clean the cages and playrooms. Volunteering allows you to make new friends (human and furry) and it gives you a great feeling knowing you make a difference in the lives of these kittens.

We greatly appreciate donations of litter, litter boxes, beds, carriers, kitten food and cleaning supplies. If money is donated it will purchase these items or be used for medical needs.
